Influenster Beauty Review: Maybelline FIT ME ! Loose Finishing Powder

Hey ya’ll

FITME InfluensterComing off of a wonderful Father’s Day weekend, I thought that I would share with y’all a new product that was sent to me Free for testing purposes, from the lovely people at Influenster and Maybelline!  So If you don’t know what Influenster is you may need to check them out.  For  more info and to get the scoop click the heart!

So a few weeks ago I was chosen to receive the Maybelline  FIT ME! Loose Finishing Powder to try out and review.  I was excited off top because the Maybelline FIT ME foundation is one of my favorite go to drugstore foundations. I knew this product would not disappoint.  Influenster sent me a full 0.7oz size of the FIT ME! Finishing powder in the color 40 (Dark).  The packaging is sleek and sophisticated and it is very similar to the FIT ME! foundation bottle.  Very Pleasing to the eye and would look great on any vanity.

finishedresult (1).png

I decided that I was not going to use the FIT ME! foundation with this finishing powder because I wanted to see how well it blended with another brand of foundation. Instead, I used the Black Radiance Color Perfect Oil-Free Foundation (which is another one of my favs!)  I applied the loose powder on top of my foundation as a finisher and it blended perfectly.  Honestly, I did not expect the colors to blend so well, but this finishing powder is the perfect finisher.

When I was dusting it on my face I could see my foundation matting up instantly. The texture is so soft and dainty.  It is so lightweight and not ashy looking at all. It looks amazing on the skin. It didn’t come with a brush so I just used a bronzing brush that I already had. It is so even and easy to spread over my skin. After a couple of hours I really didn’t have to re-apply it. I have combination skin and It held the oils from my face in pretty well.

This is a product that I am definitely considering adding to my everyday make-up routine and can be found at your local Drug Store (i.e. Walgreens, Target)  and is very inexpensive ranging from $5-$8 dollars depending on the store.  It’s definitely worth the price.   I love when companies hit it out of the ball park and Maybelline really did this time. I am anxious to see what else this FIT ME! line will have to offer in the future.

Until Next time!

Love Y’all

Dollar Tree Find: Beauty Blogger Edition

Hey ya’ll,

Just a quick little post ’cause I’m so excited about what I found while browsing in my local Dollar Tree.  Now I love me some Dollar Tree and it’s the place were I normally get my lashes.  On any given day I will wear lashes by ColorMates, which I find in Dollar Tree on a regular. So, every time I go in a Dollar Tree Store I always walk through the health and beauty aisle to see if they have lashes. (Don’t judge me, you can never have too many!) Today while picking up my Father’s Day Cards (Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there.)  I ran across a gold mind. (At least in my book they are!) This particular Dollar Tree  (Poplar and Highland for my people who live in Memphis.) had the Kiss Haute Couture brand lashes just sitting on the shelf, ready for me to buy!  I was so excited that I cleared the shelf. Truth be told, I would have cleared the shelf if I wasn’t excited. But, how could I not be excited about named brand lashes for a buck? Actually two for a buck. It came in a TWIN PACK! OMG!

inspiredbya3.wordpress.com (3).png

So, these babies are from Kiss’s Couture Line and they are a Natural Lightweight lash. I got the style “Coy” in a twin pack which includes the lash adhesive (which I never use) and the lash applicator tool! I got all of this for $1 per pack and I purchased  seven (7) packs so in all that is fourteen (14) pairs of lashes.  #winning.  Theses lashes normally range between $6-$9 dollars for a twin pack depending on which store you get them from.

I’ve worn kiss lashed before but not from this line, but I’ms sure they won’t disappoint. As soon as I pop them on, I will snap it up and show you guys what they look like and you know I’ll be reviewing them as well, so stay linked so you won’t miss out!

Check your local Dollar Tree Store to see if they are available in your area.

Until Next Time!

Look of the Day!!!!

inspiredbya3-wordpress-com-2

Hey Luvs ♥

Happy Tuesday! I just wanted to share with you guys my look of the day! Nothing too Special, but I’m loving this green look. I usually stick to neutrals when it comes to shadows but lately I have really been enjoying trying out new bold colors!!!! I love this green. I think this look is so cute. The lip color and eye shadow complement each other!  The shadow is for a broken palette that I purchased a long time age at one of the local beauty supply stores here in Memphis, and the lip color is by  LAC ( L.A. Colors) in the color Venom! The Foundation is MAC Studio Tech of course! , in the color NW 45.

If you’re a product reviewer that’s pretty easy huh?! So if your not a PINCHme member, head on over  and join the rest of us pincher’s.

A couple of weeks ago my November box arrived in the mail (takes about 4 weeks to arrive) and it was full of stuff. I forgot what I chose initially, but I believe this is the most I have received in a box since I’ve joined PINCHme.

Here’s what was in my November Box!

Social Media Blast – Facebook Page Week- “I Like It!

Why Should We Work Together?

Brands and Sponsors are looking for bloggers just like you and me, but they need us to have a platform that matches their vision. You may already have the blog of their dreams, but perhaps you don’t have the quantity of social media contacts they require. They need an audience, and they will happily pay you to promote their products if they see that your blog has a large social media following.

So, we’re throwing down the gauntlet, getting the ball rolling. Let’s change our thinking and work together. 2016 could be an incredible year, if we decide that we aren’t competing with each other. We’re on the same team. #WAYWOW Social Media Blast will be featured every Thursday, we can use it to grow, each and every one of us.

Meet your hosts:

Social Media Blast! Let's work together to grow our Social Media Platforms.

Nikki from View From In Here Jessica from Adventures of a Cavemom
Lindsey from LindseyTradup.com Yvonne from Double the Monkey Business
Leanna from Faeries and Fauna Rena from Fine. Whatever. Blog
Rosie from Everything’s Coming Up Rosie Marina from Simply Marina
Gidget from Mommy Perfect Leah from Elm Photo Studio
Leanne from Smiles and Sundays Tinese from Inspired by A3

So, are you going to pick up the gauntlet? Together we can all make 2016 a great year!!

Here’s the challenge, stop competing, let’s all support each other. Link up each week, there will be a different Social Media Platform for you to build, we will focus mostly on the top platforms that Brands and Sponsors like to see. This is where the Blog Karma sets in, the more people you follow, the more will follow you.

Again, Blogging is NOT a competition.

So, why aren’t all of us bloggers working together more? Why aren’t we jumping at the chance to follow each other on social media? You don’t have to write in my niche for me to learn from you, how you tweet, share, write, brand. And I’m not competing for my share. There’s enough to go around. Honest.

And we would love to throw down the challenge, let’s work together to grow! Social Media Blast will be live on all of our Blogs, giving you the opportunity to hang out with us and meet our Social Media Following.

This week we’re focusing on Facebook

FYI Facebook will only allow you to “Like” so many pages per day. If you also place a comment on the Page you should be able to like as many as listed in one go.

This week, link up the URL to your Facebook account (NOT YOUR BLOG URL), follow others on the list. This linkup will be open for a week, so come back and follow more as the week goes on, and get followed back! This is not a link dump, if you aren’t following others your link will be deleted. Thanks

This week is Facebook week. Make sure you are adding your Business Page to the linkup and liking or following all the pages with your personal account, likes from a Business Page do not raise your follower count! When I like someone from the linkup I will leave them a message that I found them here so they will make sure to follow my Business Page back. Blog Karma!

To find the URL to your Facebook Page, open up Facebook, click on your business page and copy the URL.

Product Review: Clarifying Clay Face Mask: Malin+Goetz

facemask

Hey Yall!!!!

So! clay masks are hot & trending right now in the beauty world and I was curious to know what all the hype was about. I have been searching and looking for a good mask to try out, to see if they are really worth it and to see if it’s something I should add to my daily facial regimen. While going through some of my beauty samples, I came across a sample from Malin + Goetz. It was a .10 oz. sample of their Clarifying Clay Face Mask! I decided that I would start with this mask. (Why not!)

This amazing clay mask is for all skin types although Malin +Goetz specializes in sensitive skin (which I have) and is supposed to be used 1-2 times per week.   I was sent two sample packs which allowed me to  use it for two days. It is made with Kaolin Clay and is said to absorb excess oil and draw out impurities. It also contains Witch Hazel and Arnica, which both work as an anti-inflammatory, great for acne break outs.  I was very excited to try this product.

I applied the mask to my dry, clean face and let it stay on for a little more than 10 minutes. The texture was very gritty and chalk like.  After a few minutes of it being on my face, it began to dry and harden. It felt like my face was made of stone (I think I liked that feeling!).  When it was time to wash it off, as soon as the water hit my face the mask began to melt. It was not hard to get off at all. I towel dried my face with a clean towel. My face felt so refreshed and a little tingly.  I could tell a bit of a difference. My face was a little smoother.

It wasn’t until after I woke up the next morning that I saw an amazing difference. I really didn’t pay attention until It was time for me to put on my make-up. I normally have a couple of small red bumps on my cheeks that my foundation just will not cover, but after using the face mask, I did not have those bumps any more and this made me so happy. For weeks I have been trying to figure out how to get rid of these bumps that seem to never want to go away. I couldn’t believe that this mask fixed my problem.

This mask made my face extremely smooth and oil free. It also worked well with my foundation. There was no need for me to use an extra moisturizer under it because the mask gave my face enough moisture without is being oily and that what I love most about this mask! I really loved this mask and it is worth purchasing! It retails for $48.00 (3.4 oz  tube) on the Malin + Goetz website.
