Influenster Beauty Review: Maybelline FIT ME ! Loose Finishing Powder

Hey ya’ll

FITME InfluensterComing off of a wonderful Father’s Day weekend, I thought that I would share with y’all a new product that was sent to me Free for testing purposes, from the lovely people at Influenster and Maybelline!  So If you don’t know what Influenster is you may need to check them out.  For  more info and to get the scoop click the heart!

So a few weeks ago I was chosen to receive the Maybelline  FIT ME! Loose Finishing Powder to try out and review.  I was excited off top because the Maybelline FIT ME foundation is one of my favorite go to drugstore foundations. I knew this product would not disappoint.  Influenster sent me a full 0.7oz size of the FIT ME! Finishing powder in the color 40 (Dark).  The packaging is sleek and sophisticated and it is very similar to the FIT ME! foundation bottle.  Very Pleasing to the eye and would look great on any vanity.

finishedresult (1).png

I decided that I was not going to use the FIT ME! foundation with this finishing powder because I wanted to see how well it blended with another brand of foundation. Instead, I used the Black Radiance Color Perfect Oil-Free Foundation (which is another one of my favs!)  I applied the loose powder on top of my foundation as a finisher and it blended perfectly.  Honestly, I did not expect the colors to blend so well, but this finishing powder is the perfect finisher.

When I was dusting it on my face I could see my foundation matting up instantly. The texture is so soft and dainty.  It is so lightweight and not ashy looking at all. It looks amazing on the skin. It didn’t come with a brush so I just used a bronzing brush that I already had. It is so even and easy to spread over my skin. After a couple of hours I really didn’t have to re-apply it. I have combination skin and It held the oils from my face in pretty well.

This is a product that I am definitely considering adding to my everyday make-up routine and can be found at your local Drug Store (i.e. Walgreens, Target)  and is very inexpensive ranging from $5-$8 dollars depending on the store.  It’s definitely worth the price.   I love when companies hit it out of the ball park and Maybelline really did this time. I am anxious to see what else this FIT ME! line will have to offer in the future.

Until Next time!

Love Y’all

Dollar Tree Find: Beauty Blogger Edition

Hey ya’ll,

Just a quick little post ’cause I’m so excited about what I found while browsing in my local Dollar Tree.  Now I love me some Dollar Tree and it’s the place were I normally get my lashes.  On any given day I will wear lashes by ColorMates, which I find in Dollar Tree on a regular. So, every time I go in a Dollar Tree Store I always walk through the health and beauty aisle to see if they have lashes. (Don’t judge me, you can never have too many!) Today while picking up my Father’s Day Cards (Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there.)  I ran across a gold mind. (At least in my book they are!) This particular Dollar Tree  (Poplar and Highland for my people who live in Memphis.) had the Kiss Haute Couture brand lashes just sitting on the shelf, ready for me to buy!  I was so excited that I cleared the shelf. Truth be told, I would have cleared the shelf if I wasn’t excited. But, how could I not be excited about named brand lashes for a buck? Actually two for a buck. It came in a TWIN PACK! OMG!

inspiredbya3.wordpress.com (3).png

So, these babies are from Kiss’s Couture Line and they are a Natural Lightweight lash. I got the style “Coy” in a twin pack which includes the lash adhesive (which I never use) and the lash applicator tool! I got all of this for $1 per pack and I purchased  seven (7) packs so in all that is fourteen (14) pairs of lashes.  #winning.  Theses lashes normally range between $6-$9 dollars for a twin pack depending on which store you get them from.

I’ve worn kiss lashed before but not from this line, but I’ms sure they won’t disappoint. As soon as I pop them on, I will snap it up and show you guys what they look like and you know I’ll be reviewing them as well, so stay linked so you won’t miss out!

Check your local Dollar Tree Store to see if they are available in your area.

Until Next Time!

Love Y’all

#SMB – Instagram Week – Let’s Focus!

#SMB – Instagram Week – Let’s Focus!

There are so many pieces and parts to running a great blog, it’s hard to keep up with it all. Social Media helps you to connect with others, get your posts seen and shared. Are you blogging to yourself? Do you want to be noticed but don’t know how to get there?

Running your blog in a vacuum is a futile process. “Build it and they will come” is just a line from a movie. Instantaneous Stardom rarely happens in real life. You have to be seen to be noticed.

Social Media and Blogging

Social Media connects us with others who find value in our posts. It helps to grow our audience and hone our skills. It will put you in the position to be noticed by Brands. Brands who do business with bloggers.

[tweetthis]Follower count is just one of the things Brands look for. Engagement is key. #allbloggers[/tweetthis]

Social Media and Monetizing your Blog

Brands want bloggers that are connected. Not only are they looking for a large following, they search for bloggers who have an engaged following. You may have a million followers on Twitter, but are you interacting with them? If not, you won’t be as valuable to a Brand as someone with 5,000 followers that are interactive.

Building a large, committed platform can take years. It’s a lot of work and it takes a concentrated effort. Let’s work together to speed it up a bit.

Meet your hosts:

Social Media Blast. Thursday at 9 PM EST Bloggers working together to grow our social media platforms. Brands are looking for large, engaged communities, let's work together to grow and prosper.

Protective Style – Medium Size Box Braids

Protective Style

Hey my luvs ♥!

The Spring time is vastly approaching, and if you live in the south like me, it’s starting to get HOT! Who wants to deal with natural hair in the heat and humidity? NOT ME! Sooooo, I’ve been thinking and looking for great protective styles to try out to help keep my hair healthy and looking good during these hot spring and summer months.

What’s better than braids? So that’s what I tried first! I decided to get some Medium Sized Box Braids. I used to wear braids all the time when I was a kid and now they are definitely in style now. The time is takes to get them installed and the price can be a little lengthy and expensive depending on your budget but they are so worth it. I love the convenience and versatility of them, the styles you can wear are endless. I plan to keep them for at least 3 months. Check out the photos below to see how I’ve styled my box braids so far! Sound off in the comments and tell me what you think?!!

Thanks to Billie of African Braid Action for installing the braids for me.

Why Google+ Is So Important

You may not have thought that focusing on Google+ was a priority, but you may want to rethink that. Brands and Sponsors ask for your Google+ connections and it’s great for sending you organic traffic from Google. So let’s work together to grow our accounts.

Compelling reasons why you should be using Google+:

As of June 2014 there were 343 million active accounts in Google+ (and even more use it indirectly, such as by uploading mobile phone photos without opening the app). That is far less than Facebook’s 1.28 billion, but quite a lot more than Twitter’s 270 million. It’s certainly not a slow market that you can choose to ignore.

If you want to sell your product or service, you would be crazy to pass up the opportunity to put your brand in front of qualified leads, right? Whether lots of people use Google+ or not, the truth is that Google loves it when you play in their sand box. Today 68% of searches are conducted on Google, so if we told you Google+ can help your company rank higher in their search results, wouldn’t it be worth looking into it?

Everything you post on you Google Plus for Business page is immediately indexed by Google. Thus, the content you post to your page can rank in search results even if your website doesn’t. This is huge for companies and professionals, because the websites that appear on the first page of Google, and especially in the first few positions, get 54.8% of all clicks from users (Optify).  Business to Community

If you’d like more info read the whole article from Business to Community

Now let’s work to grow Google+

By the way, share this, let’s reach out to as many bloggers as we can, we’ve made it easy to Tweet above. Let’s make 2016 a year for blogging community!

Look of the Day!!!!

inspiredbya3-wordpress-com-2

Hey Luvs ♥

Happy Tuesday! I just wanted to share with you guys my look of the day! Nothing too Special, but I’m loving this green look. I usually stick to neutrals when it comes to shadows but lately I have really been enjoying trying out new bold colors!!!! I love this green. I think this look is so cute. The lip color and eye shadow complement each other!  The shadow is for a broken palette that I purchased a long time age at one of the local beauty supply stores here in Memphis, and the lip color is by  LAC ( L.A. Colors) in the color Venom! The Foundation is MAC Studio Tech of course! , in the color NW 45.
